I've been side-tracked, delayed, detoured and down for the count from my birthday gift of the flu last week. I am slowly emerging from my Christmas stupor having missed all that is exciting about ringing in a New Year.
I wish each and every one of you who have faitfully followed dumbwit tellher, to those that stop-bye from time to time, a truly remarkable new beginning to this next chapter of our lives.
A happy New Year.
Grant that I
May bring no tear to any eye
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year.
Edgar A. GuestMay bring no tear to any eye

Let it be said I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year.
This I have declared will be my theme song for 2011 ~ Hit it boys..................
I hope to get caught up with you all soon!
{go forth and live responsibly}

Well now, that's a raw deal! Sick with the flu at New Years! How perfectly dreadful. I hope you feel better and that each day gets sweeter and sweeter until you have an entire year full of wonderfulness!!!
...in your old kit bag! There I had to finish the line.
Hope you are now rested refreshed and just rearing to get stuck into 2011 and all that it promises. xo J
My dear friend Deb,
It's not much fun when you have the 'flu over Christmas AND your birthday. Here's hoping that you are feeling lots better now and are on the road to recovery. I hope that you managed to enjoy both celebrations a little and that, when you are better, will make up for all the food and drink that you missed.
Wishing you, Graham, your children and dad and all of your family and friends, a wonderful 2011, filled with wonderful times and special moments and that everything will fall into place re house moving etc. So sorry that I missed your birthday.... I didn't know when it was, so belated many happy returns.
With much love. XXXX
I'm glad you're on the healing end of it - Happy New Year!

love and kisses and hugs!
Happy New Year, Deb! Sorry to hear you're under the weather.
This is a weird thing to tell you but that Beatles quote, The End, is what I had engraved on the back of my first husband's headstone. Big, like grave art.
He would have wanted it that way...
happy New Year dear friend. So sorry to hear you were so sick. As for my New Year celebration, I was so exhausted from the work week that i fell asleep on my guest and they celebrated without me...
I hope this year brings you and your family all the joy and happiness you deserve.
Looking forward to a good 2011
Francine
Glad to hear that you are better. At least it is behind you now. I understand that it is everywhere.\
Have a happy new year!

That's the best song for the new year!!! I think I'd like to (need to) adopt it also! We should find a pair of those cute pink shoes, wear them with abandon and be continually reminded to "pack up"!
I had no idea you were ill...and that it was your birthday...Happy Happy Happy Belated birthday!!! You weren't alone in being sick over Christmas...I know so many that were, myself included, actually still am, but not with the flu...some kind of yucky lung infection.

Much love Deb...and big hugs,
J~

Anyway, love the music and wishing you good health soon and a happy year ahead!
I'm hoping to be at the tail end of this boring illness! If laughter is the best medicine, I found a terrific blog while shivering under the covers--Thank You for Asking is hysterical, and the first time I have ever read every single post in a blog, other than my own. Go see her, you'll be hooked!
Best,
Liz
