Bloggers Help Bloggers - *Visual *Vamp* Valorie & Alberto

We know this woman for her incredible style
as well as her incredible book
we know her as a celebrity blogger  (*Visual *Vamp* ) such as this shot in Nov.'s issue of Woman's Day magazine
and we know her as a very talented tango champion
But did you know she needs us now?

Not one of you would disavow my sentiments that the blogging world impacts our lives in many unimaginable ways. Whether you author a blog or participate by reading alone; you are never truly "alone."

People pop in and pop out, but more often than not, the comments, and camaraderie stick like a peanut butter sandwich without a glass of milk. Friendships foster and you connect in a yes, unusual, but very profound way. We've all felt it. Valorie is like peanut butter.

This is exactly why my heart aches; Valorie Hart  - writer, editor, blogger, and one half of a talented pair and  USA Tango Salon Champions needs our help. Her beloved Alberto (Paz) was struck down by a massive heart attack at the Calgary Airport as they were lined up to go through customs on Oct.26th. They were in Calgary to launch the Epicurean Tango Society's - Argentine Tango Intensivo /10 days of total Tango immersion.

Sandra Miller, of the Epicurean Tango Society, wrote Sunday via Valorie's facebook wall;

"We are in a fluid state of instability … we cry, we laugh and we are an emotional wreck as we await news; one moment it is uplifting and very positive, the next is critical with grave concerns about life; seemingly stable then onto precarious".

An ultrasound revealed Alberto had fractured ribs from the CPR and multiple defibrillation at the Airport – which saved his life; a 100% blockage in one of his arteries, located very close to a valve, which is tricky and life threatening surgery; the other option was open heart surgery; either option is critical, major surgery with massive repercussions, with time sensitive urgency. A stint is insufficient to the magnitude of the situation. The Foothills cardiologists were going to confer with his NOLA cardiologist today to evaluate the various options and determine the best route: proceed with life saving surgery here or try to elevate his mental and physical health to Medivac him to a USA Hospital.
These difficult, challenging and worrisome conditions are exacerbated by the fact that Alberto’s health care coverage is insufficient for Hospital Care in Canada.  *If you would like to help Alberto and Valorie cover the life saving, critical care he is receiving at the Foothills as well as, getting them home, you may contribute to their Paypal account: boutique@planet-tango.com".

 It takes 2 to tango and it take's a community of bloggers to make a difference. Join together to show our compassion and love for Valorie and Alberto.

 We are all here for each other in our time of need.

{go forth and live responsibly}
show your love, it's what counts

What a lovely thing to do.....I'm afraid that we don't know this couple over here in the UK ( to my knowledge ) but I wish Alberto a full recovery and Valorie much strength to cope with all that lies ahead.
Lots of love to you Deb and speak soon. XXXX

I had the extreme pleasure to meet Valorie last March in New Orleans. I now call her my friend.

I shall continue to send out my heartfelt prayers to the tango twosome.

Thank you for showing the clip of the spectacular dancing pair. I had never before seen it.

PS. It is indeed a fabulous French Basketeer basket I am holding.

Dear Deb

I know Valorie personally from a visit to New Orleans; am devastated for her and Alberto and will of course contribute right away...how very unsettling, wish I lived in Calgary to lend moral support.

She is one spirited lady, amazing, really. They are utterly devoted and love life and tango...

You are so kind to post this, thanks
