Patio Pleasures

It is my sincere desire to post items that are obtainable by the masses. I however find great joy in those visually stimulating images of fashion and design that although are not always affordable, bring inspiration and very often are catalysts for your own creative interpretation.

With that in mind; I start your weekend with the tremendous, romantic umbrellas from Santa Barbara Designs, WW & Co. & California Umbrella. Throw in a splash of my all time passion, vintage/retro furniture, a dash of high-end outdoor, and the dreaminess begins.
Desperately 'hooked-on' outdoor living beautifully. Escape to your backyard and have a cocktail for me!

Oooh, those ruffled umbrellas are so cute!! And I love the bright green furniture -- it would fit in perfectly with the orange & lime green colour scheme in my backyard :-)

Oh this is rich. I just pulled an ad out of a magazine this week with the WW and Co. Flamenco Umbrella on it - with the plan to write about it and others I would find after searching around! Great minds think alike!

Love all the other ones you found too - and the patio furniture. Fabulous post!

Loving all the frilly umbrellas!!! In all frugalness, I wonder how easy it would be to make one. Hmmm.... maybe next summer!

Gorgeous outdoor furniture & umbrellas; I love how many of them are in such bright, saturated hues!

Is it just me or does most outdoor furniture seem ridiculously expensive? Maybe it's just that I'm not as willing to spend the big bucks on stuff for the patio (that will just get rained on, bleached out, etc.) as I am on stuff for the indoors.

Anyway, happy weekend and enjoy the beautiful Houston weather!

Great post! I am in the midst of a great umbrella search. It has to be blue and under $50. Not finding much. :)

I love the humor in vintage patio furniture. I think I feel a cocktail party coming on...

I'm thinking a nice outside tea party with special little girls. One of those ruffled umbrellas would certainly make it fun! Thank you for the visit and for the kind birthday wishes. I'm so sorry to hear about your dear Mother. I will keep her in my prayers.

I'm watching the bamboo set on ebay for my parents..small world.
Love your blog name. When they closed the Bonwit Tellers in Michigan & tore the nifty sixties building down it was a sad day for me.
18 months later...a nineties style Neimans opened up.
