Love the picture of you & your ride! And I'm in absolute agreement: I'd want to be the one in the driver's seat.

And I doubt there's an outfit on the planet that couldn't be improved with a tough little leather jacket.

Great images. I love leather and motorbikes. I put on that jacket and I just feel so cool it's amazing. We used to have a bright yellow Ducati which we rode into work but when I had our first child my husband sold it I think he felt it was time to 'grow up'. Nothing feels better than the wind and the speed though.

Oh Deb, you little rock chick, you !!!! I must tell you that my Aunt, who died when she was 82, rode motorbikes and wore leathers until she was 80, so you've still got a lot of biking to do !!!! It's funny, but I was thinking of dropping Steve McQueen into one of my posts...he was my favourite and was the Brad Pitt of my era....and I love Ewan McGregor....and, I want that Rick Owens outfit..FAB-U-LOUS.
My husband had a motorbike and we do watch the G.P.Moto races on tele, but I'm afraid that, in the '60's....
I WAS A MOD !!!!!!!!!!
Do you think that you can still be my BFF ?...I hope that you can find it in your heart to still be my blogging buddy and friend. hehehehe !!!!

Unbelievably cool! You are one rockin' chic! I love it! My dad is a Harley rider, and he has always had motorcyles. I grew up riding on the back, but I have yet to be the driver.

And thank you for sneaking two shots of Mr. McGregor into the post!

Love Ewan, he makes me laugh in his show long way round!

I've a friend who races 600cc's it's totally unreal to go to MotorGP's and watch.

Steve McQueen, what a cool guy.

oh this is SUCH a treat for a little evening perusing...I went on a four-day motorcycle trip with my dad this past spring all over the southwest and it was just THE BEST TIME we've ever had together. Now that his four daughters are grown and scattered all across the country he takes one gal on a Harley adventure every year and I don't think I can wait to wear my fringe jacket until my next turn...LOVED the shots of you on your Triumph! Thanks for stopping by bigBANG and come again soon! xoxo

In these days of air bags and seat belts it seams inconceivable that as a child I often rode pillion on my dad's motorcycle without any kind of helmet or safety device. I suppose the roads were a lot quieter then!

By the way, I am so sorry to have deleted my last comment, I tried to alter it but was not able to.

I am obsessed about finding the perfect vintage motorcycle jacket this fall ... you have fueled this mod girl's fire even more !! What a wonderful set of pictures !!!

Every girl should own a motor bike....or at least a biker jacket!!
You'll have to bike on over to France - lots of beautiful scenery and lovely quiet roads!

Those leather blazers in the 1990's (a la Ben Afleck) ruined me on leather jackets forever. Of course, these look super cool.

HEART that Roberto Cavelli!!! I'm not even remotely bike-worthy, but it's fab.

You are one hot mama on that bike! Love this post. A few years ago I rented the Long Way 'Round DVD's - which I'm sure you've seen - the motorcycle trip around the world that Ewen Mcgregor and his pal Charlie took. I'm a little embarrassed to say it, but my husband (boyfriend at the time) and I watched the entire 10-hour documentary series in one day.

P.S. Before your blog, I had never heard of Bonwit Teller. Funny, but in the past 2 weeks I have heard it referenced 3 different times!

Haute World said...

First off... woman, you rock! Love those pics of you on your motorbike! I have always loved the rocker chic look (since I was a teenager). I don't necessarily love all variations I've seen of it recently (it has become a bit too hyped and blinged up), but I definitely think it's a timeless look and more of a lifestyle. Thanks for sharing all these terrific images. I love how you even managed to integrate Dr. House into the lot ;-)

P.S. Didn't head to Scotland this time, but we're fying over again at the end of the month!

You look great! At the Rubie Green event many ladies were rocking a leather jacket. Me and my sister both decided that we needed one immediately!

Darling, I am so sorry to hear your sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Having recently lost my mum, I know exactly what the feeling is like. It is so difficult to think that one day life will be without her, and yet it happens and there is nothing we can do. Love her, hold her and make her last days comfortable and loved, that's all you can do. My heart goes out to you, be strong . I wish I could be there for you in person, my prayers will be. Take care.

Love & Hugs
Duchess
