Imagination Required

Chestnuts Roasting on the Open Fire -

Is it me or are you too repellent to the idea of Christmas lapping at our heel-steps? After 52 Christmas', I've got the first signs fine tuned to tip me off of the holiday shopping season's impending arrival.

It all begins with the re-launch today of Starbucks festive scarlet red cups to those first, somewhat understated, television commercials. The t.v. adverts begin with a tease only to build slowly...surely... with greater fervor, until the week before Christmas Eve, in which they reach their ultimate crescendo.

As you read this, I deliver you a story not worthy of any accolades. It is void of clever tips, catchy phrases or facts you likely never knew. What I bring you is a few moments of grandeur; beauty of design, and the architecture of spaces and mankind. A few seconds of wondering what it would be like to sit-back, lounge and relax in the most gorgeous of spaces, with some of the most gorgeous of men, of our lifetime.

Take a few minutes for yourself before the holiday rush begins ~ (you can thank me later.)

What a fabulous post Deb! I LOVE it. I'm not familiar with Gerard Butler - but I think I'll add one or two of his movies to my netflix queue now! Loved the eye candy, and the rooms. And yes, I hate that christmas is already being shoved at us every which way we turn. What about Thanksgiving?!

Thanks for the gorgeous guys, Deb (Oh, and those room things !!!!).
I'm having Ewan and, as I've asked first, no-one else can have him !....As I'm writing this, Gordon Ramsay is on the T.V and I've just watched 'House' with Hugh Laurie.
There are a lot of English/Scottish guys in the mix....we know how to grow them here !!. (although, George and Hugh and Robert are pretty gorgeous !) B U T.....
Where's my favourite Sreve McQueen ?....I know he's not with us anymore but... I LOVE HIM !!!!

Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. I must just sit down and catch my breath. With the exception of Ramsay, I would take those rooms with their inhabitants ANY time. Thanks for giving me a little fillup. xoxo Utterly divine.

I feel more relaxed already! You and I have very similar taste in men -- Daniel Craig and Gerard Butler are two current favorites. I like my men masculine, to say the least.

Hi Deb

I don't think too much imagination is needed! You've given us everything we need right here in this blog - divine men AND beautiful rooms. I'd be happy with any (or all) of these as stocking fillers! Leigh

I've been meaning to comment on this for a while, but my eyes kept shifting focus from the beautiful homes to the studly men and then my brain just fuzzed out ;-) The Alan Cummings image is quite something though... haha. Great choices, not sure about Mr. Ramsay... he does annoy me a lot (and the food in his restaurants have taken a nosedive), but kudos to you for featuring the Top Gear guys! I actually really love that show (felt awful when Richard Hammond got in that accident).

Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Oh, and don't diss the Starbucks Red Cups... they're the only thing that still put me in the Xmas mood since I no longer have German Christmas Markets around me!
