The Doldrums

I was going to label this a "bad hair day" post, but really, it's been a bad hair year. What this implies (as many of my faithful readers already know) is, it's been a year of many lows, personally and for the world. Today as I watch the Michael Jackson Memorial Service even I am surprised how saddened I am for this great loss. We both were children of the 50's and we grew up during the same time, side-by-side, although far-apart. So yes, it's been a bad hair twelve + months.

Getting back however to what I started this blog about; looking good, living well, spending less.
When it comes to hair products, will I ever been a happy woman? Well..just maybe with the help of these two products, we all might be just one step closer.

"The best hair color looks like it was never colored at all. That is why I developed Fekkai Salon Color—to ensure that all women have natural, vibrant color that is easy to apply, easy to wear, and, most of all, designed to flatter." —Frédéric Fekkai

Fekkai has stepped up the luxury haircare realm with Salon Color—the first at-home, salon-premium, permanent hair color. Created by Fekkai colorists, this little box of dye-it-yourself magic has all you need to enhance your color—just like the pros. For around $30. you can have fresh-from-the-salon-chair hair when you can't make that in-salon appointment. With the help of such tools as - Shade Finder, Color Tips, For Best Results, and How-to-Video; how can a person go wrong? Shop Fekkai color @ Sephora here.

New to retail shelves this month is John Frieda's Sheer Blonde® Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo and Conditioner (under $8.) which gradually lighten your blonde for a year-round sun-kissed look – with no harsh chemicals. It's like the 70's "Sun-In" in a shampoo/conditioner form.

With it's soothing citrus and camomille scent will I resemble SJP after using this great product - damn, I hope so!
{go forth & shop responsibly}
beauty for all
rest sweetly in peace dear Michael

Missed you. I have hi-lights in my hair and only trust a profesional so can't help you on this one.
Have just waatched the memorial service for Michael Jackson. Very sad but done rather well, I thought. Didn't make it too showy. Can't believe it really. XXXX
