I am one of a million that adores Bravo's "Top Design". Last falls season two, did not fail to keep that love flowing. One of my favorite designers was the man with plenty of panache , sass & self love, the vivacious Eddie Ross. Eddie, a native of Greenwich, CT and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, began his career working in television, as a food editor on Martha Stewart Living.
Eddie ran his own catering company, where he continued to refine his skills in decorating and entertaining, Eddie made the move to publishing. As Associate Decorating Editor at House Beautiful, he produced the popular “Weekend Shopper,” a monthly article in which he’d travel to flea markets around the country, finding new ways to use old things.
As the Senior Style Editor of Martha Stewart Living, Eddie continued to demonstrate a vast and impressive range of talents. From decorating and entertaining to food styling and flowers, Eddie produced consistently elegant stories that related to a variety of people’s tastes and budgets.Eddie, along with his partner Jaithan Kochar, co-founded Eddie Ross, LLC, offering styling services, event production, and guided flea market shopping trips across the country. They also produce a daily blog at eddieross.com with tips and information on how to decorate and entertain beautifully and affordable.
After years of traveling the country, buying only the most beautiful things he loved the most, Eddie announces he & his partners newest venture, Eddie Ross at Etsy, a unique collection of hand-picked, antique tabletop. Every piece in the collection he selected himself, then washed, ironed, or polished it by hand. Every piece carries with it detailed descriptions full of ideas. "Every piece I would most certainly use in my own home", he states. And every piece is $100 and under.
These throw back to the "Sinatra/Palm Springs days" low balls (at Eddie Ross at Etsy), are crying to be placed proudly on my living room cocktail bar. "Bottoms up, I do believe it's cocktail time". Have a fabulous weekend darlings!

Marlene Dietrich, of course is a Hollywood legend from the 1930's to the 70's. She was known for playing a sultry temptress role in many of her films with other legends like Cary Grant. This cocktail named after Miss Dietrich has whiskey, bitters and curacao, which play their own sultry roles.

orange and lemon peels
Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into glass. Squeeze orange and lemon peel on top
