A Night with My Stars - part I

Come on..yes, that means you. bloggers and followers a like.

don't just stand there, we're not getting any younger..

don't stop to check your calendar. Yes, you can bring him too.

please don't be shy..

I don't care where you are or if your on holiday..

I don't care how you get here, just hurry.

I will treat you like royalty.

like one of my family
Why, because "you complete me".

As of last Saturday, I've been blogging for twelve exciting months. I know I am not alone when I say it's been an experience like I had never imagined. A lotta love, a wee bit of exhaustion, tossed in with a smidgen of frustration. You all know (heck I think even the trash collector's heard my wailing) that life's journey over the year has been..well, let's just say it's been. You lovely people have brought me to tears, laugh until it hurts, dream the dream, and have blown my socks off (although too hot in Houston to wear any) in the creativity that you all produce on any given day. It's goes with saying one last time (although I'm not as cute as Tom Cruise); "You complete me".

This is a very small snippet of your words that have got me out of my bathrobe & on with life ~ (and if you saw my bathrobe, you'd be shocked why I ever put it on).
  • standing up & cheering!!!!!!!! Missed your fabulous wit!!!
  • have i told you today that i love you ? i do !x
  • Deb, I feel like I've known you for years. You do stunning work. I know you've already received the Award before, but, I'm nominating you again, because, well... you deserve it.
  • Once again, Deb, thanks for the dedication and also for being a kind, generous, and great blogging buddy and good friend
  • thank you for your truly special comment... you are so special. so wish you could be here... i know we would be wonderful friends... and already are becoming so.
  • I know nothing that I say will make this feel any better. Sometimes life just hands you turds and a job loss is a major steamer. (in regards to the husbands job loss)
  • Darling, my love, thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family. I have truly missed you luv. Love & Hugs
  • I'm so sad to hear of your mum's illness. I will be thinking of you both, and your family and wishing you comfort and some happy moments during these days ahead. Life quite sucks at times!!I hope a little laughter heads your way.
  • You are a such a dear person and I really hope things get settled down for you soon. As for your Mom, I'm keeping you all and her in my prayers. My little blips on the radar pale in comparison. You do what you need to do to take care of you, we'll still be here. Hugs!
  • I think you really nailed many of these women's styles while still managing to push the envelope a bit! Great job, Deb! And no worries about the lack of posts -- real life is always more important (and my thoughts are with your mum!).
  • Yummy eye candy! And as usual, you absolutely have me rolling on the floor laughing.
When you arrive just put your shoes by the door.

and hurry in

What, you have nothing to wear? Just wait, I have something
smashing picked out for you.
Hermes for all - Gold Chaine d'Ancre Bracelets for the ladies.
Mini Chaine d'Ancre cufflinks for the gents.

and the night cannot start properly without bagpipes of course.

tables set to the nines

entertainment abounds
{Annie went to the same high school as Scottish husband & he's dying to connect}

entertaining, fascinating people

don't give a thought about what others will say

this is a time to party like it was 1979

* it will be a beautiful evening *
So sit, have a cup of tea & bring out the suit cases

and while your packing, I will be putting the final touches on your party attire.
Please join me in a day to two for the reveal.

{go forth & live responsibly}
live for today
give thanks for yesterday

One year old, Deb. Where did the time go. I have loved every minute, getting to know you via emails. ....even though you are very busy, you always find the time for a little chat. I think that one of my first comments was on the post where you hadn't loaded all of the pictures !! Do you remember ? I won't go all slushy again, Deb. Suffice it to say that you are a great blogging friend and I'm so glad to have met you.
Well, I'd better get off to Harvey Nic's to get my little designer number for the ball. ....and a fantasy flight booked. Have I got time to get my diamonds cleaned ? Thanks for the invitation. My acceptance is in the post. XXXX

Happy blog-birthday! I haven't been reading your blog for quite a year, but I really do love what you've done with it... you're one of the few who actually takes the time to write proper sentences and gather a selection of suitable images. Here's to another year (at least)! I've had pretty tough years before (thankfully this one wasn't that bad for me), but it's the friendships and strength of those around you that will keep you strong.

Gorgeous images as usual... oh and thanks for the Hermes bracelets ;-)

Only a year! and you are such a pro! The world of blogging has really opened my horizon in meeting such talented, warm, fun friends that enrich my daily life. Thank you for all the wonderful moments I spend reading your blog, admiring the beautiful images as my morning blog and coffee routine helps me going for the day.
BTW I hope that you are not under the impression that I wrote Living with Wine, my friend Samantha Nestor did. I am only hosting the party in the Showroom. Samantha was the project coordinator for MetHome and this will be a last goodbye to MetHome 's old group of friends.I'll post pictures!!!
